Hi! My name is Karthik Ramanathan. I am a first year Master's student from the University of Michigan School of Information, specializing in Social Computing with a focus on Incentive-Centred Design. I did my undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. I am interested in topics in the intersection of Computer Science and Economics. Specifically, I am interested in how we can learn more about human behaviour from data we have and how we can use that information when designing systems, institutions and policies.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music and playing tennis. Some of my favourite books are Pride and Prejudice, Crime and Punishment, Norwegian Wood and non-fiction by Sudha Murthy. Roger Federer is my hero in tennis. Some of my other heroes are Narayana Murthy and Rahul Dravid.
